So we are know going to be "kid-sitting" A boy who is in fifth grade. "C." came over to our house today to hang out for a while, and watch us play basketball. He also introduced us to sushi. Well, he introduced everyone else to sushi. I stayed on the far end of the room. (Hey, I'm brave, but not that brave. :D) Anyways, just thought I'd let you know. Prayers would be appreciated!

Have you ever seen one of these? :) Or these? :D Or even one of these? ;)/;D. I think they rock, and I even invent my own. The first time I did this was when the blogger sight gave me one of there random questions to answer. (Well, duh, what else are you supposed to do with a question? Question it? ...) If this is a colon: and this is a semi-colon; , What is a semi truck? I thought for a moment, and then wrote... wrote... err, my keyboard and the Blogger settings won't let this show up correctly, so i will just tell you that I wrote something terribly clever. Spent the night at Gramma and Grandpa's. They are just great. Grapefruit when I got home, grapefruit when I went to bed, grapefruit in the morning for breakfast. I've got to go. My Gramma just got me some grapefruit. Thank you Gramma and Grandpa!

A Newly Aquired Taste

I have recently developed a taste for something very... tasty. Green tea! Idrink it in the morning the morning, I drink it in the night! I drink it in the evening, when the moon is shine'n bright! (Skinna-marinky-dinky-dink, skinna-marinky-doo) :D It is very good! I have had around me all my life, because my mother and grandparents love it. But I had never really liked it much. Now, being a writer, this presented me with a problem. Generally, author's either like tea, coffee, or something like that. (Maybe I'm wrong, but this is just the way it seems to me. Do you disagree?) I've never really liked coffe much,(though I had a nice cup of it at a diner, once,) and green tea... I didn't know what to think. But now, my taste buds have seemingly changed. Green tea is sooooo good! My uncle travels around the world, and one time when he was living in Korea, he decided to try something unusual. He wanted to become a tea master. Now, I know this may sound a little weird. You're thinking, 'How much can there be to learn?' But my uncle spent a whole bunch of time working at it and learning all the little techniques it takes to do the tea perfectly. Also, he had a figurative handi-cap: He was english. But he overcame this also, learning Korean and living among the korean people. After a while, he graduated from tea school, and was officialy dubbed a Tea Master. Anyways, the whole reason I wrote this for you guys is this: He just sent my mom and me some tea. Some of it was super strong, but one kind was really good. The problem is, I can't read the label. It is written in Chinese!!! Well, I'll find some way to make last. Maybe I can call my uncle on Skype to ask what it's called and where I can get more! :D What is your preferance, coffee or tea? Well you reply, I will sit patiently, sipping the greatest drink on Earth. *sigh*

The Significance of Creatures in Literature

This is just something I find interesting. Have you noticed how often creatures can be used significantly in literature? Seriously! I will give my input, and once you finish reading it, I would love for you to give your own. Point one:There is so many ways you can use an animal that you can't a human. Contemplate this. The most you can do with a human is say, "His eyes radiated malevolence, and his posture showed his complete distaste for those around him." That is good, but can you make it better? "The snake's eyes flicked back and forth across those gathered near. It's tongue was constantly flicking between it's lips, testing the air for potential danger." Way better, right? Point two: Can you imagine famous creatures as people? Think about these in particular: Aslan, Smog, Puddleglum, REEPACHEEP. What would they be like as humans??? This I know for sure:Aslan wouldn't be nearly as Majestic. Smog wouldn't be at ALL as imposing. Puddleglum wouldn't be as... well, glum. And Reepacheep? He wouldn't be so brave and witty. Just imagine.

"Sir, I lost my tail in battle for you," said a dis-heartened Reepacheep. Aslan replied, "Get up you stupid man! You didn't have a tail in the first place!"

Yes, I am a Narnia Fanatic, so I will variate. The pheonix 'Fox' of Harry Potter. Can you imagine him being human?

Can you see that happening? I can't. One final shot at it, for those of you who haven't read Narnia OR Harry Potter... creepy as that may be. :D

I am a huge fan of the Lightning Thief series by Rick Riordan, and recently, he came out with the first 'Olympian' movie. I have been told that is totaly awful. It has great graphics, a okay story, and it is entirely other than the book. That is not how it is supposed to happen!!!!! The start of this trailer is really the best. I suppose the title could go either way, so I will say this now: Stream of Passion is my new FAVORITE band. They are SO(!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) good!!!!!!!!!!! How can I make my music play automatically? They are the first people on my playlist, and their music makes my gut churn. Not in a bad way though. And I know that sounds really weird. But I mean, do you ever have music that just makes your feet lift off the ground? Music that makes your head feel clear, and your stomach go into your throat (in a good way)? No, not really. This is just a post about my birthday! I am turning twelve today! I am very excited, and can't wait until tonight, when we will be having cherry pie and pumpkin pie and Special tea!!! Yes. Last party I had was with my grand parents at Macaroni Grill, and it was hugely successful. Everything was great, except for this creepy Opera guy afterwards. *shiver* The guy had something seriously wrong inside him. Every single time we go there, we try to avoid him. The first time we went there he came to our table and asked, "Would you like me to sing you a song?" Unknowingly, we obliged. He proceeded to sing in Italian for about four minutes, Full volume, and pretend to hug my father. It totally freaked us out. Ever since then, we've avoided him. But last night, our luck did not last. He showed up at our table and asked the question:"Would you like me to sing you a song?" Surprisingly my dad said "Yes" Oh well, I thought, it's your funeral. Then my dad, loving parent that he is, pointed at me and proclaimed, "It is HIS birthday." Things went downhill from there. He came over to me, held my shoulders, and sang at me (Yes, at me,) about my mother's tears. He wiped my face at least seven times (no kidding, I counted) and patted my head the whole time. I was supposed to make me laugh, and I kind of snickered the first time. But by the third round of it, I was ready to puke. And he sang seven rounds. I was SO relieved when he left. My ears rung the whole time after that, and when they finally stopped, he came back to sing Happy Birthday. Ironic, huh? I still had a blast, though. The cheese cake and chocolate cake at the end of the night really helped relieve all the stress. Just to give a realistic idea of this singing nightmare, my grandma had to plug her ears. It was that bad. My brothers and dad had a blast watching him make a fool of me, though. Good times. :)

Volunteer job

Hello again. Guess what? Today, I went over to the Library and got a volunteer job. Boo-Yah!!! I am SUPER excited!!! Satisfaction is my new word of the moment. So happy. I had a bad moment when I was there, though. I completed the "interview" and as I walked out, I realized that she was the very librarian that had reprimanded me for not bringing my library card, about a week or so ago. Here is the deal. I am a devoted Library geek, and I check out almost constantly. I check out SO OFTEN that I now have my library cards bar code number memorized. Just wait, it gets better. I was very confident about my knowing-ness of my number, so every time I went to the Library, I'd go up to the front desk and repeat my number and info. I was pretty proud of this until about a week ago. I got up to the front desk and said to the lady, "Hey, I don't have my card on me, but will you take my bar code number?" I got back a almost constant stream of complaints like nothing else known to man. Seriously. It was like, "You don't have your card with you??? *sigh* ... *sigh* ... *double-sigh* ... Weeeeeeell... all right, but you Haaave to promise me that you'll bring your card next time Okaaaaayyyy???" *real actual sigh that doesn't actually consist of trying to give somebody a guilt trip* And now, I'll be working for her... I sincerely ask for your prayers. :)

To all these new years posts! Many of you who know me know that I am contradictory. Contradictory, weird, and a totally outspoken fan of cheese. (All right, maybe you didn't know about the cheese thing, but stick with me.) I have read post after post about New Years, and I'm starting to get sick of it! I mean, I'm glad that it's a new year, but there has GOT to be variety!!!Therefore, this post will be about my favorite cheese.

Boursin cheese. There has never been and never will be a more delicious substance. (Not in this life anyways.) So very good. This stuff is the stuff of heaven. It is likely to be healthy for you: the taste of it does the mind good. :> Plus, it isn't just gourmay cheese; It's gournay cheese. That's got to count for something!

A'righty. Here it is. So far today, I have spent my time working on math, which I was a teensy bit behind on, reading, which I am unbelievably behind on, (usually un-heard of,) and trying to keep a straight face. Going to get shoes, my mom left me and my brothers in the car with a warning: There was a man going around begging, lying that he needed bus money. So when some a teenager decided to jump infront of my passenger window making a face, I admit I was more than slightly spooked. I believe he was doing it to entertain his girlfriend, (in the car next to ours) but still. Come on. I did, however, manage to keep a staight face. I tried to give him a stare of death, but I think it came out as a stare of slight hinderance. Though I say again, I was tempted to scream like a little girl. I probaly should have, as it would have really got the guy running. But no. I decided not to humiliate myself. While at least I got off with my pride, and the guy looked a little humiliated himself when I failed to solicit any reaction. Anyways, my mom took me into the store, and showed me my new shoes... HEELYS! (Hey, I waited that long to use all caps... Bravo to me. hee-hee...) Right now, it takes all my concentration not to just fall on my face, but I'm sure I'll get it... some day...

Asleep :: My day so far

This morning I woke up at 8:20. I went up stairs without really thinking, asleep on my feet. The I went over to wait for our one bathroom to open up, sat down and fell asleep on my backside. Dad woke me up, I used the restroom, and walked out to wait for the water to warm up, so that I could take a shower. Then I saw the most welcoming thing I've ever set eyes on: The couch. With a big warm mattress. And a small fluffy pillow. Laid down on it and BOOM! Out like a light. I do vaguely remember waking up a couple of times after that, but none of them were long enough to keep me up. Three hours later my eyes opened up. 11:30! (Not at ALL the norm for me. At ALL.) So I got up, despairing over my bad luck. 6 inches of snow, and I had to stay in doing homework all morning. I walked out past my fam with my face downcast, mumbling of things that I thought I wouldn't be able to do, when suddenly my mom, My heavenly Amazing, Awesome mom says,"You know what? I think we should take a snow day!" My morning was saved. I shoveled the sidewalk and drank cocoa. I ate Taco Bell. I sat down to write my first article of winter.( In my opinion, winter starts when it snows. Really Snows.) Yes. I am in heaven.

Hangin' Around

Man. Life is good for me right now. Me and my mom spent the evening makin' chicken marsala, goat cheese walnut and spinach salad, and sparkling Pomegranate drink, which we bought at the store. ( Just the Pomegranate Drink. The rest we made from scratch.) It was so good! My mom is a amazing chef, not to mention the Apple crisp to top it all off. (Made by yours truly!)

Whoofta! I have been reading like Crazy for the last few days, and one of the books REALLY stink. ("Who's Crazy," you may ask, "and why are you reading like him?" I honestly don't know.) The book I'm so fed up with is (This isn't the origianl pic, but it's WAY better.)

Midnight for Charley Bone. It isn't some little kids book, like it sounds, but a book for kids that are in the range of 7-12... maybe 13. Anyway, the reasons I don't like it is that the story is fantastic, but the author keeps rushing into different types of scenes. It's like, "Charlie said to his friend Fidelio, "Hey, Why don't we go to the pond?" then he turns around, dodges a bullet, a smacks his great aunt across the face. WHAT!? Come On! Jenny Nimmo has the story, but she just can't write. Bad Mix. Also, It's a really bad take off on Harry Potter, which is just... Un-heard of. So there you have it.

Me and the cutest 3 year old in the world, my cousin Iver. This is my sleeping area, with my king size bed, my giant comforter, (@ my feet,) and my giant flat screen TV. (it's behind the camera. (: )

This is the view off the upper balcony. That lake is so much fun to swim in... When it isn't 25 degrees F. That might not be such a great move. Might not.

Whoopee! I'm going to Bemidji! It's in Northern Minnesota, where my grandparents live. Gonna have tasty food, time with my fam, and possibly a late night movie? (please dad? :) So sweet! Yes, the picture may be crudely illustrated... not the best... Ok it's downright awful, but it gets the point across. No more fake global warming!!! A hacker just recently got into some scientist's emails and files that suggest that global warming is BOGUS - and put them out to the world online. The scientists didn't want to reveal the truth because their findings didn't support global warming. You can read about it HERE. I give that BIG times beans. Honestly. Well, now we know... is the world ending? Not so Much.

My Gramma just showed up at our house, I just got finished with a whole bunch of chores, and now I'm wondering what to do. Email's to look at, my Gramma keeps trying to talk to me, everyone is giddy, and now my gramma pulled a fast one on me and proclaimed, "Why don't we go to Biaggi's?" What?! Oh man! Yesterday, I went to a book sale. I spent $9.50 on 11 of my favorite books. So happy. LIFE IS GOOD!!! As many of you know, I am a book fanatic. I have recently begun collecting books, and this is EXACTLY what I needed! Good times.

I have been off the computer world waaaaaaaay to long. My eyes no longer have jagged red streaks, I do not have a cold, and I haven't blogged a thing about the notorious "Brandon Fairve"... At this moment, I am typing from my grandpa's office. He is my new history teacher. We have been staying the evening at his house, and this is my account of are stay so far. Right before I walked in the door my mom stopped me and said, "Alright now, Seth. When you go in that door, don't try to distract grandpa.(something I would never dream of, by the way) don't try to go do something on the computer quick, (don't worry, I already finished my lessons, Mom.) or go and run around downstairs, or ask for a snack or try to start a movie. " Well, As soon as we got in the door, My Grandpa said, "Why don't we go downstairs and look at the new door we had put in?" We all hung out downstairs for a while. But I, being the bookworm that I am, Urged them back upstairs, in hopes of starting our new history booklet. Immediately, as soon as we got up the stairs, my grandmother ushered us in to the kitchen for a snack. Of course. So I ate the cheese and crackers, which my grandmother insisted were such important nutrients that they must be consumed before our work. At this point, I was starting to feel like Grandpa was trying to distract Grandpa. Finally, We got to are lessons, which turned out to be very interesting, studying the early nomads. After we finished, My grandpa insisted upon watching a movie with the younger boys while I used the computer (Oh, the irony!), which is where I am now. This has been an account of my ironic evening with my grandparents. -Seth

I am sick. My whole house is sick. School is currently the farthest thing from my mind. I'm dizzy, I have a tummy ache, and my stomach is making so much noise that I'm almost convinced it's talking to me. I'm one of the last people to get sick, so I have hope that I'll be able to go out in public again soon. This house is NOT where I want to be, though I have to admit that being sick has some advantages, even if they are infinitesimally small. Just recently, while lying on my couch, I have been able to watch the movie Harry Potter 2, The Chamber of Secrets. Very interesting, if I do say so myself...

I just had devotions with with brother and God-sister and we realized some thing that I am going to post.

-God existed before existence, therefore creating his very own category-in with anything and nothing. What I mean by this is that he is obviously not nothing , but He can not possibly be something, because He existed before anything, bringing you to the conclusion that you are either something, nothing, or God. (confusing, eh?) To narrow it down it down even further, I will label you with one of these three. You are obviously not God, for God is the one putting these thoughts in my head, and you cannot possibly be nothing.(I'm not going to explain myself on that one.) Therefore you must be something. Also, if God always existed, at what point in time did he decide to create existence? Well, if you think about it, time would not exist yet, so he could not possibly have decided on a point in time to create time. Yet another thing are small minds cannot comprehend.

Who is your favorite male character and what book is he from?

That is tough, but I think I'm going to have to say that my favorite male character is Reepacheep from my all time favorite series, The Chronicles of Narnia. He so inclined to honor those his superiors and those around him, and to give his all for his King. I laugh when I think about it, but I actually look up to him.

Who is your favorite female character, and what is she in?

My favorite female character. Hmmmmm... I think that my favorite would have to be Annabeth Chase of The Percy Jackson Series. She self confident (in a good way) and has a deep love of knowledge and architecture.

Who is your favorite Author/ book series by him?

Definitely, without doubt, Clive Staples (C.S.) Lewis. He is a genius! My favorite book series by him has to be Narnia.

I just found out that one of my favorite authors, John Flanagan, has come out with a new book, Ranger's Apprentice book six!!!!!!! Anything that John comes out with is a must read, in my opinion. Look it up!
